How Chlorito handled a 500% increase in orders with warehouse automation

Señor Chlorito specialises in pool water care products. In season, order volumes can change very quickly, so the company needed a warehouse solution that could handle sharp growth without unnecessary manual work and without losing control over fulfilment.

The challenge

The main goal was to handle up to a 500% increase in orders overnight, speed up picking and at the same time have a clear overview of where each order is. Chlorito needed orders to flow automatically into the right warehouse and fulfilment process after being received — ideally straight to the packer's desk.

It was also key to reduce the admin around shipping labels and transport. For a range that can fall under ADR (dangerous goods) rules, a solution was needed that wouldn't slow down fulfilment while keeping the process under control.

Exportio's solution

Exportio connected Baselinker with Abra Flexi and set up an automated order flow from receipt to dispatch. The solution included a warehouse workflow, rules for routing orders, shipping label handling and an overview of warehouse performance.

For shipping, an integration of FOFR ADR transport by Transforwarding was built. This made even this specialised shipping part of the automated process in Baselinker, so it no longer had to be handled manually outside the main order flow.

Implementation

The project started with an analysis of the order flow and the points where manual work or delays arose. This was followed by setting up rules in Baselinker, connecting the Abra Flexi accounting and warehouse system and adding shipping logic for fulfilment.

After launch, the workflow focused on getting orders to the packing stage as quickly as possible, having shipping labels ready within seconds and giving the team continuous visibility of warehouse performance, not just in hindsight.

Results

Thanks to automation, Chlorito handled a 500% jump in daily orders. Picking became roughly 50% faster, and printing shipping labels went from a process taking hours to a matter of seconds.

The most important impact, however, is operational: the team has a continuous overview of orders, warehouse performance and fulfilment status. Automation didn't just speed up individual steps — above all, it brought greater capacity and control without having to rebuild the whole process.
